Tomatoes, Wax and Green Beans is a painting that was inspired by the produce displayed by the local growers at Vantage Point Farmer's Market in Port Huron Michigan. Did you know that Wax beans grown on one farm can taste drastically different than one grown on another? This farmer's market is located on the St. Clair River so we have produce on the west side of the sidewalk and the Great Lakes Freighters, pleasure boats and morning sun on the east side of the sidewalk. I was very attracted to the wavy shapes of the beans contrasted with the roundness of the tomatoes...and then the colors.
This painting was painted en plein aire on Arches 140# cold press archival rag watercolor paper with Winsor Newton professional watercolor paints.
Tomatoes, Wax and Green Beans is presented for sale in a medium cool grey 2 inch wide Cresent archival rag mat, mounted with archival tape, backed with foam core board, a provenance is provided and sealed in a Clear Bag product that is produced to protect and present art work. The price quoted does not include shipping.
