The title of this painting is Long Shadows. The subject is late afternoon maybe around 4 o'clock, but in the winter it is almost evening so the shadows are long. This is a small well-kept orchard, berry bushes and a lane that goes far back into the woods that caught me by surprise because it is very near my home. I drive this route to work almost every day and had not noticed it before. Surprise!
